The Game by Richard Connell
Rainsford capsized while aboard his yacht,"He realized he reached too far. The Cry was pinched short as the blood warm waters of the caribbean sea closed over his head" (R. Connell 63).
Rainsford new he was hunting humans after Zaroff told him, " It must have courage, cunning, and, all of the above, it must able to reason"( R. Connell 69)
Rainsford knew that he would be hunted after the General said, "... you will find my idea of sport more diverting than Ivan's." ( R. Connell 75).
Readers know Rainsford won the game after General said, " You have won the game." (R. Connell 80).
But Rainsford was not gonna just take a win and walk with it, he needed more, he said, " I am a beast at bay."(R. Connell 80). Zaroff answered back, "One of us is too flourish a re-past for the hounds and the other will sleep in this very excellent bed." (R. Connell 80).
The reader can infer that Rainsford won after he said, " He has never slept in a better bed'' (R. Connell 80).
