Whitney the crewmate said, "The old charts call it Ship- Trap Island" Whitney replied, "A suggestive name isn't it? Sailors have a curious dread of the place, I don't know why. Some superstition" (Connell 62).
Rainsford remembered the shots, "hey had come from the right, and doggedly he swam in that direction" (Connell 63).
Rainsford held his breath, "The General's eyes had left the ground and were traveling inch by inch up the tree. Rainsford froze there, every muscle in his body tensed for a spring but the sharp eyes of the hunter stopped below the limb Rainsford lay" (Connell 76).
Rainsford hesitated, "He heard the dogs and then he leaped far out to sea..." (Connell 80).
A man who was hiding behind the curtain was standing there, " Rainsford! screamed the General. " How in God's name did you get in here" (Connell 80).
The protagonist said,"Swam found it faster than walking" (Connell 80).
Rainsford decided, "He had never slept in a better bed" (Connell 80).
Sometimes when your in someone or something else's you start to understand how they feel and then you realize your not so different.
