Another rising action was when the house asked what poem the family would like it to read. This was something that lead up to the house burning down. Also when the story said that the house was half blackened on the outside. These progressed the story.
The climax was when the house caught fire and started to burn. This happened to show that technology has its dysfunctions and doesn't always work. The author makes the climax this way to make the story end the way he thought was best. In his mind technology was helpful but also dangerous.
The falling action is when the house goes silent and the last remaining piece of technology dies. Before it does though it says today is August 5, 2026. The way the author ended this book in my opinion was with a falling action that was very long. In fact ending the story with a short falling action leaves the reader to create whatever ending to the story they want. The reader could also think about what they think might happen next in the story.
