Elizabeth called the police and told them what happened. He promised to protect them.
Later that week, Elizabeth was called and asked to serve as a witness in court.
I am being a good citizen by helping enforce rule of law by being a witness in court.
This man, however, was not a good citizen, because he did not follow the rule of law and offended the common good.
I thought I could get away with it!
Elizabeth is a good citizen because she obeys the laws, such as stopping at the red light and the stop sign. Also, she benefited her community by working with the government (police) to keep people safe from the criminal.
