Judge Taylor asked Atticus to defend Tom Robinson and even though Atticus knew that he wouldn't win and that it was going to be hard road, he still accepted. "I simply want to tell you that there are some men in this world who were born to do our unpleasant jobs for us. Your father's one of them." (288)
Atticus, you are going to defend Tom Robinson in his case against the Ewells.
This scene depicts my theme because Atticus could've just let all the men into the cell, but he felt passionate about what he was doing and stood up for Tom Robinson and told the men to go home. "You can turn around and go home again, Walter." (202)
He in there?
Just go home men.
You know what we want, move aside from the door.
This scene depicts my theme because even though Tom was guilty Atticus still tried his best and still had hope for his appeal. "It's not time to worry yet," Atticus reassured him, as we went to the dining room. "We're not through yet. There'll be an appeal, you can count on that." (285)
Guilty, guilty, guilty
