Storyboard Text

  • •Peter asked Jesus,"How many times do I have to forgive everyone? 7?" Jesus replied,"No, not only seven, but you have to forgive others SEVENTY-SEVEN times." Jesus paused for a second. "Here's an example..."
  • How many times do we forgive, Jesus?
  • Seventy-seven, Peter.
  • "There was a kingdom, and in that kingdom lived a king. One day he decided to settle accounts with his servants. And there was one servant who owed him ten thousands bags of gold. Unfortunately, the servant didn't have that kind of money.
  • Since he couldn't pay, the King said he would have to sell his servant and his servants family. "Please, give me more time and I promise I will pay you back!" The servant begged. The King felt sorry for his servant, so he canceled the debt and let him go.
  • Okay, okay, you are free to go.
  • So, do you get it now?
  • PLEASE!
  • However, when the servant went out, he confronted his fellow servant that owed him 100 silver coins, and when his fellow servant pleaded, the servant was enraged and threw his "fellow" servant into jail. Another servant saw what happened and reported it to the King.
  • What is he doing? I have to tell the King!
  • PLEASE!
  • NO! GO TO JAIL!
  • When the King found out, he became furious and went straight to his servant."You WICKED servant! I canceled your big debt because you begged me, but you couldn't cancel your fellow servant's smaller debt when HE begged?!" And the King sent the bad servant to jail until he payed for his debt.
  • NOOOOOO!
  • You WICKED servant!
  • “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.” Jesus said.
  • Yeah, I understand now!
