This is the second part of my task two
Benjamin : Boxer, If I could have done it over again....
I wouldn't have been a bystander. When clover asked me to read the seven commandments, I just said I wouldn't "meddle in such matters" (Orwell 91). But I should have read them to her and posed it evident that they were different.
This could've led to to a conformity among the animals against the pigs. (Which could also be a rebellion) Why would I want this you might ask? Ill tell you why:
The pigs (in my opinion) are just like Joseph Stalin in the Russian Revolution. In Historical context, he used propaganda in order to manipulate the Citizen's minds. This is also Political context because Napoleon used propaganda to confuse the citizens. (He did this through squealer)
Joseph Stalin: Hey! I think you're stupid but I'm using propaganda so you don"t know.
Citizen: I love this guy!
The social context of propaganda is that (just like in the Russian Revolution) Things begin with the idea of "everything is equal" but propaganda gets in the way and starts influencing dictatorship. In my opinion, Napoleon is a dictator already on Animal farm, and he has strayed far from he original ideas of the Rebellion.
Benjamin: If I would've spoken up, I could have united the animals and organised a rebellion against Napoleon so there would be no propaganda or dictatorship.
