  • America won the Battle Of The Great Lakes against Britain. Tecumseh, an Indian chief, was killed in the battle.
  • James Madison As President
  • I helped write The Federalists Papers.
  • Francis Scott Key wrote The Star Spangled Banner when he saw the American flag during the bombarding of Fort McHenry.
  • Impressment and Native American Resistence
  • The Battle of New Orleans was the biggest U.S. victory. Andrew Jackson was a war hero in this battle. There were over 2,000 casualties for the British and only 71 U.S. casualties.
  • Industrial Revolution
  • James Madison was America's 4th president and his term was from March 4, 1809 to March 4, 1817.
  • The British seized over 1,000 American ships and thousands of American citizens. The British allied with Native Americans who attacked U.S. settlers in Northwest territory with British supplied weapons.
  • The British cut off the supply of foreign goods, so they had to start making their own and realized their dependence on foreign goods was not good for the economy, which led to the Industrial Revolution.
