Storyboard Text

  • Night By: Elie Wiesel
  • Elie
  • Elie is the main character and the author of the book. He is 15 years old when he gets sent to the camp, but passes as a 18 year-old.
  • Elie was very religious at the beginning of the story, but his faith started to fade away. At the camp he tried all he could to help him and his father stay alive.
  • Shlomo is Elie's father in the book. He was never close to his son, but when they were in the camp they became closer. He was also busy with work in the beginning of the story
  • Elie's Father
  • In the story he gets to stay with his son, which is good because they start to depend on each other. He tells his son to keep going on, even though he himself is very weak. At the end of the story he becomes very sick. He ends up dying, because none of the doctors would bother taking care of him.
  • Juliek
  • First meet Elie in Buna. He played violin in a Buna band. Near the end of the story he died in the barracks by being crushed under a bunch of people.
  • Moishe the Beadle
  • Helped Elie during the beginning of the story with his religion. He was a old homeless man that people respected.
  • Moishe was a foreign Jew, so he was taken away before the Elie and his family. He was able to escape by pretending to be dead. In the story no one would listen to him when he said everyone was in danger.
  • Madame Schacter
  • She was a women in her late fifties that was in the cattle war on the way to the first camp. During the ride she had started to scream that there was a fire.
  • She was important to the story, because she sort of set what would happen latter on in the story.
