Irish immigrated to the Americas for many reasons. One of those reasons being the potato famine. They would move to America so that they could grow more potatoes . People immigrated from Great Britain because of religious freedom. They wanted to spread their religion all over the new land. They were moving away because of all the religious conflict in Great Britain. They also wanted freedom in the new land so that they could do what they wanted to do, but also following the laws.
