Storyboard Text

  • Introduction: Its a dark night, the speaker is almost falling asleep when suddenly he hears a tapping at the door
  • 'Tis some visitor tapping at my chamber door. Only this and nothing more.
  • Conflict: The speaker begins to think about what the tapping could be. He thinks about multiple scenarios before finally opening the door to find nothing. He whispered into the nothing, hoping it was his lost love returning to him.
  • Lenore.
  • Resolution: The speaker realizes he will never find inner peace.
  • Rising Action: He begins to hear the tapping again coming from the window. He opens it up and a raven flies in and lands on a bust of Athena. He then asks the bird various questions.
  • Nevermore.
  • Climax: The bird tells the speaker that everything he speaks of will never happen. this angers the speaker, and with every question that is rejected he only grows angrier.
  • Falling Action: He tries to kick the bird out of his home, but it wont leave. It continues to sit perched on the bust of Athena.
  • Take thy beak from out of my heart, and take thy form from off my door.
  • Falling Action: The speaker tries to kick the bird out of his home, however, he refuses to leave. He continued to sit on the bust of Athena.
  • Resolution: The speaker realizes he will never find inner peace.
