Today we are going to talk about the digestion system and its stages.
Chewing is the first step of the digestive system, chewing takes place in the mouth, the saliva moistens the food wet so it is easier to chew. The enzyme used is called amylase it helps break down starch.
The esophagus is the second step of the digestive system, its only job is to carry the food to the stomach. The esophagus has no enzymes.
