  • Here let me explain it to you. Basically the cervical method works it can be inserted hours before sex and should be in before you're turned on. But you have to be sure to leave it in for six hours after you have sex. If you're going to have sex again that day, leave the cervical cap in place and insert more spermicide way up in the vagina.
  • Hi teacher, I was wondering how does the Cervical Cap method work?
  • First off for it to be effective you must use it correctly. It is most effective also if the women never gave birth. Make sure the covered before each act of intercourse. Make sure spermicide is used. It is not the most effective method to do because 14 out of 100 who use cervical caps will become pregnant each year.
  • What are some of the effectiveness of this method?
  • What are some of the advantages of using the cervical cap method?
  • Some advantages of using a cervical cap are unlike the diaphragm the cervical cap protects against pregnancy for two days and for multiple acts of intercourse within that time. Another advantage is that when placed appropriately, the cervical cap is often not felt by either partner during sexual intercourse.
  • What are some disadvantages of the cervical cap method?
  • Some disadvantages of the cervical cap method are cannot be used during menstruation. May be difficult for some women to insert. Must be in place every time a woman has vaginal intercourse.Lastly, mild allergic reactions to the rubber.
  • My last question is how do you purchase a cervical cap?
  • To purchase a cervical cap go to a clinic, or a private health care provider for a cervical cap. Cervical caps average from $0 to $75. Spermicide jelly or cream costs about $0 to $17 a kit.
  • Thanks for everything i learned a-lot from you.
  • No problem anytime just stop by if you have any questions for me.
