  • Reign of Terror
  • With knives and axes in October 1789, many Parisian women raged about the overpricing of bread. This led to the National Assembly providing bread and forced Marie Antoinette and Louis to go back to Paris.
  • Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
  • This was a document of the French Revolution and in the history of human civil rights. The Document was set in 1789 by France's National Constituent Assembly. This stated that "men are born and remain free and equal in rights." It also guaranteed freedom of religion and speech and equal justice.
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • In 1793, Robespierre led a very dark time in which terror would be "the order of the day." Many were executed or arrested if they were suspected of being nonloyal to the revolution. This led to 40,000 execution and over 200,000 people were arrested.
  • Fall of Napoleon
  • Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were executed by the guillotine at the Palace of Revolution. This was a big event during the French Revolution and occurred on January 21st, 1793.
  • Napoleon had many contributing factors to his rise such as becoming the "savior", won a series of remarkable victories, set up efficient method of tax collection and established a national bank system, signed a concordat, sold Louisiana purchase, came up with the Napoleonic Code, and became emperor on his own.
  • Several factors played a key role in the Fall of Napoleon. Such as the blockade to prevent trade, Peninsula war, invaded Russia, stayed in Moscow to long, Battle of Leipzig, and escaped and fought Battle of Waterloo. Each event crippled Napoleon and his conquests aroused nationalistic feelings across Europe and contributed to his downfall.
