Storyboard Text

  • The U.S Constitution
  • Representation and Separation of Power
  • So what about the slaves?
  • Do you suppose we meet up with the other delegates to revise it then?
  • The Article of Federation have become to weak to lead our growing country!
  • Yes, We shall meet in secret
  • It's of no use! The Articles can't be fixed. We need to just start over
  • I agree
  • The Great Compromise states that we should have 3 branches of government, a bicameral (two house) congress, and there should be equal representation in the Senate but representation depending on population in the House of Reps.
  • For this new Constitution, I believe larger states should have more representation
  • But what about the small states? I say states should have equal representation
  • Perhaps we can come to a compromise
  • I say count the slaves as part of the population
  • Why count them towards the population if they can't vote? I say we don't
  • The Three-Fifths Compromise
  • How about we coun't them as 3/5 of a person?
  • The main topics of discussion though were representation, slavery, and whether or not we should have a presidency.
  • The framers of the constitution discussed a lot of different subjects that still affect out country today
  • They had to make plenty of compromises, so cut them some slack.
