Storyboard Text

  • "THE LOTTERY"
  • In Theaters on April 10th
  • "Bill Hutchinson went over to his wife and forced the slip of paper out her hand."
  • "The children had stones already. And someone gave little Davy Hutchinson a few pebbles."
  • The mood of the story is sad and dark .
  • THEME
  • When Bill Hutchinson walked over to his wife, it was clear that she had the black dot.
  • SYMBOLISM
  • THE LOTTERY
  • When the people gathered around Tessie, it was noticeable that they were going to kill her.
  • IRONY
  • "I won the lottery!!! If you know what i mean."
  • The theme is based off a different type of tradition. The lottery seems to be one well known.
  • The symbol I chose was the black box because it's what everyone drew out of.
  • When I read the title I thought it meant a good thing, but it's totally not a good thing.
