Immigration Of the Mid 19th Century
By: Kara Mach Pd.2
We came by boat to America and the boat was very crowded and there was no privacy.
We came to America because there is more land here , more freedom and more economic opportunity.
We both got a job working at a factory and it was horrible. It was long hours everyday with very low pay.
We settled in the Midwest in a small home. Everywhere was crowded and it was just like the boat ride to get here. There was no privacy.
As an immigrant all the cities were overcrowded, some Americans did not like us and treated us poorly, and we got many diseases and there are many crimes.
