  • LOCATING THE VICTIMS

  • -On April 1, 1933, the Nazis acted out against Jews, which was a boycott of Jewish businesses. -The Nazis claimed that the boycott was an act of revenge against both foreigners and German Jews.
  • THE NUREMBERG RACE LAWS
  • Today we will be announcing new laws that are in our favor and against the Jews.
  • -The St. Louis was a boat filled with 937 passengers, most were Jewish and they were trying to go on the ship to get away from Germany. -The Jews were going to head to Cuba and when they got there, the President of Cuba wouldn't let them in.
  • THE END
  • - In 1939, the German government conducted a census of all people living in Germany and they would trace their race by their grandparents. - Adolf Hitler made a Jewish registry containing all the Jews' information.
  • -An annual party rally was held in Nuremberg in 1935 and the Nazi's announced new laws that institutionalized many of the racial theories prevalent in Nazi ideology. - These laws didn't define a "Jew" as someone with particular religious beliefs. Instead, anyone that had 3 or 4 Jewish grandparents was defined as a Jew.
  • Even though the Holocaust killed approximately 6 millions Jews, Jewish culture and tradition still lives on to this day.
