  • John Adams: The founding father without a memorial
  • By:Karicia Pimentel
  • we signed the Declaration of Independence.
  • We are not going to war with France!
  • No, its not right
  • But sir, the people...
  •
  • The soldiers are innocent, they reacted to what they thought was best.
  •
  • And the new president of the United States is...John Adams!
  • One of John Adams great achievements was signing the Declaration of Independence. He as one of only two presidents to do that, the other was Thomas Jefferson. The Declaration of Independence is an important document so its a lot to be able to say you were one out of two presidenst to sign it.
  • A second achievement by John Adams was the ability to keep America out of war with France. War is something hard to avoid because some people want it and others not so much. Even though people thought that not going to war was the wrong thing, Adams went against that and stayed out of it for its what he thought was the right thing to do even if most didn't agree.
  •
  • I did it for the county and the people.
  •
  • A third achievement is his life was becoming a lawyer. One of his argument was on the British Soldiers and the Boston massacre. He defended them in court and was successful in doing so.
  • Another of Adams achievements was being second president. He was up against Thomas Jefferson. Who ever got the highest amount of votes would become the next president and who ever got second most would end up becoming vice president. Adams had won with 71 electoral votes and Jefferson with 68. This was a big accomplishment for Adams.
  •
  •
  • In conclusion with all of these amazing achievement through out his life time he should be recognized for what he has. Yes he wasn't the perfect president but no one was. He tried and that's was counts. He gave it his all for the county he was leading. he made tough decisions but he did it in thought of the county, and that deserves a memorial.
