Storyboard Text

  • Prithee put off your journey until sunrise and sleep in your pown bed to-night.
  • Of all nights in the year, this one night must I tarry away from thee.
  • My journey, as thou callest it, forth and back again, must be done 'twixt now and sunrise
  • Then good bless, and may you find all well when you come back.
  • DEVIL!
  • Faith kept me back a while.
  • You are late, Goodman Brown.
  • Goodman Brown says goodbye to his wife, faith. She doesn't want him to leave.
  • But where is faith?
  • Goodman Brown doesn't give specifics on where he's going. Faith wishes him all good on his journey.
  • Goodman runs into the devil which he has no idea it's the devil till he hears someone yell "DEVIL!".
  • Goodman Brown see's all the people who are worshipping the devil. He assumes Faith is doing that as well and he asks the devil where she's at.
  • The next day Goodman Brown went back to the village and went to church. He couldn't hear his own prayers because all he could hear is an anthem of sins.
  • When he woke up the next day it was family prayer time and Goodman couldn't look at his wife or talk. "and at morning or eventide, when the family knelt down at prayer, he said his prayers and gazed sternly at his wife, and turned away".
