  • Ruby Bridges was the first African American to attend a school for just white children. Ruby Bridges was a Civil Rights Activist. She was born September 8th, 1954. Ruby's full name was Ruby Nell Bridges Hall. She accomplished many things in life.
  • Ruby Bridges accomplished a lot. Ruby Bridges was the first black child to attend an all white school. When she was in kindergarten, she was selected with many other students to take a test. The test was determining whether or not she could attend a white school. Ruby was only 1 out of 6 students to pass the test. Ruby was the only African American to be attending the white school. I feel this was a big accomplishment for her.
  • In a way Ruby Bridges made a huge impact in history. She was not only the first person to go to an all white school, but she also started the whole thing. People can know go to school together because of her. She showed them people can go to school together and they can get along. That is why many people would thank her for what she has done.
