Storyboard Text

  • Hey Tom! I am very excited and nervous to visit North Korea because I know that it is a dictatorship.
  • Hey Tina are you ready to leave for North Korea for your interview tomorrow?
  • I am on the airplane almost to North Korea! When I arrive, there will be a translator there to help me to my hotel!
  • North Korea is fun already! Dictatoship seems very differnt form the USA, which is a democracy!
  • A dictatorship is when a country is ruled by a single leader that is elected abd may use force to keep their control.
  • I have just reached my hotel. I have some complaints about North Korea, but my driver was very kind.
  • An advantage of a dictatorship is that the crime rate is much lower than other countries therefore I will be much safer.
  • You need to go back inside!
  • All I want to do is take a nice walk outside for fresh air, but citizen's rights are very low.
  • Other advantages include that dictatorship's progress very fast and reach their goals. Another advantage is that there is no Red Tape. This means that laws and policies get passed or declined quickly because there is only one leader.
  • I am now leaving North Korea! I have had a great time but North Korea definitely has its downsides!
  • As Tina explores North Korea, she discovers some disadvantages. One example is that there is no checks and balances in a dictatorship. These are the different branches of government and without them it makes the government run less smoothly.
  • Dictators want everyone to obey and listen to their rules. Therefore, this leads to violence and conflict within North Korea and other Dictatorships. People are even often killed for no reason.
  • North Korea is a Dictatorship. In a dictatorship, it's main goal is to ensure it's power and make sure it remains strong.
