Cause: Both the French and Great Britain wanted control of territory in North America.
This Land is under French rule.
NO, Great Britain has claimed this land!
Cause: The french built forts in the Ohio River Valley which angered the English/ Colonists.
Cause: George Washington and his troops built forts known as "Fort Necessity". His troops suffered many casualities.
Effect: Under mercantilism, British colonists took advantage of the fur trade. However, the french viewed the idea differently.
Enhance Fur Trade
Effect fur trade negatively.
Effect: Fighting erupted in 1753 as the British military moved to take over the valley.
Effect: Washington surrendered. His defeat in 1754 started the French and Indian war.
