Storyboard Text

  • Francis Bacon
  • I'm telling you, this is what bacon is made of.
  • It's my duty to question everything
  • Nicolas Copernicus
  • What if the sun is a big ball of fire and we rotate around it instead of it around us?
  • Rene Descartes
  • What if this tree represents the principles of philosophy?
  • Francis Bacon's work suggested that humans cannot always trust their five senses and doubt everything they thought was true. In Francis's mind, the only way to discover the truth is by challenging what is said to be true.
  • Isaac Newton
  • Nicolas Copernicus was the first person to calculate the physics and the math behind the heliocentric system. Although ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle suggested it first, Copernicus did all the calculations behind the theory.
  • Johannes Kepler
  • Rene Descartes was a philosopher and a scientist. He created the model of a tree which represented his view of philosophy with the roots being metaphysics, the trunk physics and the branches all other sciences separated in 3 main ones: medicine, morals and mechanics.
  • Galileo Galilei
  • Isaac Newton was one of the greatest scientists of all time. His greatest discovery was the discovery of gravity which he realized by an apple falling on his head. Another great discovery of his were the 3 laws of motion.
  • Just be patient, the apples will start falling any time soon.
  • Johannes Kepler was an exceptional astronomer. He was the one to discover that the earth rotates eliptically around the sun. But after studying and mapping the stars and the planets, he started a study on how the human perceives these stars and how we see light, which was the base of modern optics.
  • Oh my God, the stars... I'll make a research about optics.
  • Galileo studied the laws of motion and provided the details for the heliocentric theory. He was charged with heressy because of his teachings that the sun was at the center of the universe.
  • I'm feeling pretty good about this book. I'm going to publish it, but I need to give credits to my bro Copernicus
