Energy comic strip - Nov. 2017 Science Project
This storyboard does not have a description.
After eating a good breakfast after waking up in the morning Nate has enough energy to start his day and go to work.
Nate works at a power plant. At the power plant he turns fossil fuels into electrical energy for the town to use.
By burning the fossil fuels Nate turns the water to steam that turns the turbines. The turbines then make electrical energy.
On the way home from work Nate stops to get fuel. When Nate gets fuel the chemicals in the gasoline fuel his car so he can get home.
When he gets home his remote for the TV is dead. After he puts batteries in the remote it works. The chemicals in the batteries are released to power the remote. He lights a match for the fireplace. The end of the match is covered with a chemical that with friction lights a fire.
Throughout Nate's day he used conversions of chemical energy many times. Chemicals being converted into different things makes life easier. In fact we could not live without chemical conversions.
