The doctor came to check on Helen and he said that she would live, after the doctor left Kate noticed something wrong with Helen's eyes. She started to yell Helen's name and noticed that she wasn't responding she yelled for Captain Keller and he came quickly. They decide that they should call the Perkins institute and have someone come to help Helen.
When Mr. Anagnos got the call he thought that Annie was the perfect fit, so he told Annie and told her that she was going an he told her to pack her bags and get ready to go. While she was getting ready some kids came in and gave Annie a doll and a pair of glasses, the doll was for Helen and the glasses were for Annie.
After a long time on the train Annie finally got to the Keller's household and met everyone. As soon as Annie meet Helen she started to teach Helen. She taught Helen how to raise her hand then she let Helen find the doll in the suitcase.
Helen and Annie got up to the room and Annie started to teach Helen. The first word she taught Helen was DOLL she spelled doll into Helen's hands and Helen spelled it back. Annie got mad because Helen kept forgetting one L at the end so she took away Helen's doll, Helen got really mad and hit Annie and lock her in her room. After Annie got out she was really mad at Helen.The next morning the Keller's and Annie were at the table, and Helen was going around the table eating everyone's food.
When Helen got to Annie's plate, Annie wouldn't let Helen touch her plate and eat her food. Helen and Annie got into a big fight and Annie asked everyone to leave the room, after the fight Helen would not let Annie touch her. Annie went to talk to Mr. and Mrs. Keller, she asked if she could move into the garden house with Helen and Percy. Mr. and Mrs. Keller agreed to two weeks. After the two weeks was over the Keller's came over to get Helen, Annie wouldn't let them take her until 6:00pm.
The Keller's came back at 6:00pm and started to take all the furniture back to the house. At dinner Helen started testing her parents. Annie got mad but Mr. and Mrs. Keller were fine with it. After Helen knocked over the pitcher of water Annie made her come outside and refill the water pitcher. Annie saw this as a teaching moment and started spelling water into Helen's hand. Helen felt the water, she finally said ¨Wah-Wah¨ and she started to recognize words.
