Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • Will I ever see Lenore again?
  • Nevermore
  • I sat alone in my chamber on a cold December night. Reading countless books trying to forget my loss. While half asleep I heard a visitor come knocking on my chamber door. My heart beat grew stronger as I wearily stood up.
  • Falling Action
  • Nevermore
  • I went to answer the door and meet the visitor that came at midnight, on a cold December night, so faintly tapping on my chamber door. I opened the door but nobody was there. I returned to my chair only to be brought back to my feet, when the faint little tap sounded at my window.
  • Resolution
  • I opened my window to peer outside as a raven flew in and perched itself on my book shelf. It was a raven of knowledge I could tell. I asked the wise bird if I was to see my Lenore again, in this life or the next. The enchanted raven answered me, "Nevermore."
  • Literary Term
  • I grew enraged at the sound of that word. I wished the fiendish bird back to the darkness. "Take yourself off my shelf," I yelled as I threw everything in reach at the bird, "go back out the window and never return. The bird answered me again with that dreadful word. "Nevermore."
  • GET OFF MY SHELF!! RETURN TO THE DARKNESS!!
  • The bird took flight and I chased it around still throwing anything I could get my hands on. I leaped onto my chair to get a little closer. I stood tall enough to barely reach the devilish bird. But my foot slipped from the chair and I crashed onto the floor. I passed out as I heard the bird continue to screech "Nevermore, Nevermore."
  • Poe used repetition to add a sense of dilution to his character. Repetition makes the character seem more frantic or worried.
