Storyboard Text

  • Theme
  • Internal Conflict
  • "Something i think?"
  • "No. I should like to be able to say a word or two to my clerk just now. That's all.
  • Indirect Characterization
  • The theme for "The Christmas Carol" is the importance of family and kindness. I chose to use theme for this story picture because the family is together and they are all happy and joyful although they aren't the most fortunate people with money.
  • Symbolism
  • Scrooge wishes that he could've done more for his servant, he wishes that he could have been nicer to the caroler when they came to his door to sing. Most of all, Scrooge wishes that he wasn't so greedy with the money he had, because it caused him to lose Belle.
  • Theme
  • "You are changed, when it was made you were another man."
  • When Scrooge was a little boy, he was always left in the school by his classmates and family, leaving him alone and sad all the time. As Scrooge got older he wasn't bothered by the loneliness of not having anyone.
  • Internal Conflict
  • Scrooge wasn't able to get rid of the Ghost of Christmas past, which symbolizes that he couldn't change the way his past was, so it shows that he has to change the way he is now so his future can change for the better.
  • Scrooge realizes that kindness and family is very important after Belle leaves him. Scrooge was very greedy with his money, so Belle decided to call off the engagement. Scrooge regrets his actions and realizes how important it is to be kind to other people.
  • When Scrooge was taken back into his past by the Ghost of Christmas Past, he saw himself as a child and saw how lonely he was when he was little and it made him really upset.
