  • In this scene, the neighbors are starting to blame each other and they all had a finger to point at. They started having hatred on each other and soon became violent.
  • Smash the radio!
  • Let's wreck it!
  • This supports the theme because Tommy explained about the monsters who were causing this and Charlie believed Tommy, and he expected the man to be the monster so he shot Pete Van Horn without realizing it was him. He was quick to kill because he was scared and frightened.
  • This supports the theme because the people who were blaming Charlie of what he has done, started assuming he was the monster even though he wasn't. They were suspicious for what he did and wondering if it was true, so the outcome of that was they believed it and started turning on him while hurting him.
  • This supports the theme because the people were full of suspicion and fear which made them blame each other and everyone had someone to blame on. Since everyone had someone to blame on, they ended up fighting and become violent amongst each other making everyone turn on each other.
