A Shepherd finds Oedipus and gives him to the messenger so he can bring him to Polybus.
Oedipus accidentally lashes out after getting told to get off a road which resulted him to kill Laius and his servants where three roads meet.
A prophet gives Oedipus a prophecy that he is the killer and that he will soon be the most hated man in the city.
After finding out that the prophecies were true, Oedipus stabs his eyes out with Jocasta's brooches because he doesn't want to see Laius in the after world because he feels too guilty.
Oedipus banishes himself because that was what he originally was going to do when he found the killer.
