Today we will be learning about the seasons. We experience four seasons here on Earth. Those seasons are Summer, Fall/Autumn, Winter, and Spring.
The seasons are four diffferent divisions of the year marked by particular weather patterns and daylight hours, resulting from the earth's changing position with regard to the sun.
The Earth travels around the Sun once every year or 365 days. As the Earth travels, its position in relation to the Sun changes. This is what causes the seasons.
When the Earth is tilting towards the Sun its summer. When the Earth is tilted away from the Sun its winter. The Seasons inbetween are Fall and Spring.
During Summer we tend to have warm sunny weather in the US. In Winter we tend to have cold snowy weather in most parts of US. In Spring we tend to have warmer wet weather with rain. In Fall temperatures start to cool down as we prepare for winter.
