If bread that is not wrapped in an air tight container it will become stale and moldy over a short period of time.
My mother is always nagging me telling me that if I dont wrap up the bread, it will get stale and moldy.
I asked my Mom if I could do an experiment to test if this is true. I would leave a loaf of bread out unwrapped for a few days and would wrap another loaf in a sealed tight container for the same time to see if one got moldy faster.
If bread is not wrapped in an air tight container it will become moldy over a short period of time. We sat and watched and then left the bread out over night.
After one day the bread started to turn a little bit green. The bread that's in the air tight box is still normal.
The next day we looked at the bread for the second time and the air tight bread was fine but the bread that was left out felt hard and turned more green.
Day three - The bread that is left out is very hard and is almost completely green.
