  • Mark is an astronaut to mars and during a storm there, his team leaves him behind on mars because they lost contact with him when he is struck with an antenna. He is assumed dead and his death is announced to the world.

  • Symbol: His suit is a foil to himself. All through the movie he has to get new suits bc they keep getting broken and with his body he is starving himself but is pushing past everything.
  • Mark is able to survive the storm and an analyst at NASA notices that the stuff on Mars that Mark is suing is moving around and showing up at different places. The race to get him home begins.

  • Welcome Home Mark!!!
  • Mark finds out that the supplies he has with him will not be able to sustain his life until the next planned mission is scheduled. NASA works to find a solution to get Mark home while communication via email through the onboard computer in the Mars Rover.
  • conclusion
  • After several failed tries to get a rocket to launch, one of the scientists at NASA comes up with a plan to use the ship that Mark's team is using to slingshot around Earth and speeding up to make it back to Mars. THe people at NASA dont like the idea because it would add another year to the team's time in space. The team overrides NASA's commands and go get their friend.
  • The team is able to get Mark from Mars. Mark and the team safely arrive home and They all start to move on and find new adventures in life.
  • After all the excitement from being stuck on Mars for over a year, Mark goes to work at NASA training future astronauts to make sure that they have the right mindset and know what they are getting themselves into when they go into space. He loves his job because he's is one of the best examples of how not to die when you probably should have.
