Another way our villages developed into empires and other small cities is iron smelting. The Nok made iron tools by smelting the iron and molding into tools. They would use these tools to farm. The tools for farming would let them to be able to sell and trade food.
In the trans-saharan trade, we all got the supplies we needed to survive. With this trade my family can survive
We also traded for camels. With camels we can get places faster. This helped us reach new places sooner
The spread of Islam also contributed to the growth. We were able to make new things for trade, making people want to visit out villages.
The Islam taught us the art of writing and new techniques of weighing. We used these tricks for many things.
