Storyboard Text

  • In fact I do, that is when the cell duplicates it's DNA.
  • Cell Membrane
  • DNA
  • Nucleus
  • Do you guys know what happens in Interphase?
  • Also, that is when the cell carries out it's life functions.
  • Who here knows what goes on in Prophase?
  • To add on, the Nucleus also starts to disappear.
  • I do! That is where the chromosomes form.
  • Lastly, the spindle fibers start to stretch across the cell.
  • Yes, I am a scientist who study's the cell cycle. It is when the chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell.
  • Also they attach to the spindle fibers.
  • Do you guys know what metaphase means?
  • Yep, I studied that last night for our test on Tuesday.
  • Hey, I was wondering, what happens in Anaphase?
  • That is when the paired chromosomes separate and move to opposite sides of the cell.
  • Forgot one. The cell also begins to pinch in.
  • Also the chromatids unravel into loose strands.
  • Telophase is when the separate chromatids arrive at opposite poles of the cell and new nuclier membranes form around them.
  • Alright let's study for our test. What is telophase?
  • Quick, we have to go over Cytokinesis before class starts.
  • Alright, this stage results in, two separate, genetically identical daughter cells.
  • Don't forget, each one has a nucleus.
