This Book is so cool! It's about something called the Silk Road. Apparently it's a network of smaller trade routes, that stretches out for more than four thousand miles Across Asia.
It says here, that a man named Zhang Qian, often called the father of the Silk Road, opened the travel route between China and it' neighbors.
Silk was a valuable trade item, because at first, the Chinese were the only ones who knew how to make it.
Silk was very expensive and hard to get, but so was the glassware that the Romans made. Many Chinese and Roman travelers would trade silk for glassware.
