Storyboard Text

  • Cabinet Battle
  • This is what is best for the country, and I believe if our country needs this we have to make a law.
  • This is wicked and very unconstitutional!!
  • Whisky Rebellion
  • And I hate national government debt!
  • We hate the Whisky Taxing!
  • French Revelation
  • Mr. Jefferson we must stay neutral.
  • You are crazy you are quite ignorant when it comes to this, this is an act of betrayal!
  • In this scene Hamilton is explaining his financial plan and Jefferson is disagreeing. Hamilton's financial plan included paying off war debt, raising revenue and creating a national bank. Jefferson disagreed with this because he believed the national government would have to much power, he said hamilton's plan was unconstitutional. Since Hamilton won this debate our country is now able to create laws.
  • In Hamilton's first step of his financial plan he needed to pay of national debt, to be able to do this he decided to tax America’s favorite drink, whisky. Since most farmers sold whisky they were immediately angry about this new taxing. After a whisky rebel attack occurred Hamilton decide to create a force of 13,000 militia that then marched into Pennsylvania and put a stop to these rebels, most fled and some were sentenced to death. Government had now proved they could keep order and keep from citizens overthrowing the government.
  • In this scene the French are trying to gain independence from Europe and once again Jefferson and Hamilton disagree on their standings during this. While the French Revolution was occurring Hamilton wanted to be neutral and not choose a side, yet Jefferson thought this was an act of betrayal from France. Soon Washington sided with Hamilton and this created tension. This now made the country become neutral and not pick sides during wars.
