AP Lang Storyboard assignment due 9/15/17, based on the novel Into the Wild.
This path isn't really for me. I'll go away from this monotone lifestyle and carve my own path.
This is Chris McCandless, he's intelligent and has a sense of adventure that will eventually cost him his life.
This story takes place in the early 90's, but expands from Virginia into the American North West and Alaskan Frontier.
He encountered many problems but continued on his trek.
What the hell? This isn't near the gulf...and man the marsh really screwed up my canoe. I'll have to abandon it.
Man my parents are too materialistic, irrational, and oppressive. They just don't understand.
His lack of a map and preparation for the wilderness inevitably lead to his demise in a deserted bus surrounded by the Alaskan Wilderness even though it could've been avoided if he had been less eccentric on his "Odyssey".
The author's theme although respective of McCandless's ideals finds the idea of separation from society in favor of the independence and solitude provided by nature is too romantic to be actually achieved.
