How You can get Leprosy
Leprosy was a big disease back in the 1800s..and it still exist today, with 63 cause since 2015. Leprosy is named after Dr.Hansen, who found the bacteria using a microscope.
The symptons that are caused by leprosy are by a bacteria called Mycobacterium Laprae. Symptons might include light colored or red patches of skin. You can also have deformities on specific parts of your body.
Leprosy is a very rare disease, and you can only get if someone you know has leprosy. You can get it by touching the person, meaning hugs or handshakes will mean the disease will transfer.
