Video: When I was 11 years old, my cousin was born with special needs. His disease restricts him from making facial expressions. As I started to grow older, I realized that I didn't want to be an elementary teacher. I wanted to be a special needs teacher.
Video: As I have gotten older, I have realized more and more that being a special needs teacher is my calling from God. I have always been great with kids with down syndrome or autism and so I would be excellent for the job. I have also had experience with my cousin.
Switching over from my video to pictures and still text.
When I become a special needs teacher, I could be working with any kind of person. They could be a wounded soldier or a kid born without an arm. The possibilities are endless.
I could teach them their ABC's in a fun and unique way that I will learn in college.
If I'm not working with children with special needs and I am working with wounded veterans who are adults and don't need to learn their ABC's, then I will comfort them and council them through post traumatic stress disorder or other issues they may have.
