  • Grasslands are characterized as lands that are dominated by grasses, not large shrubs or trees. Tropical Grasslands and Temperate Grasslands are the two main divisions of grasslands.

  • There are not a lot of plants in the taiga because of harsh weather conditions. The seasons spring and summer last for a short time in a Taiga. Winter and Fall are the two main seasons.
  • Tundra
  • The world’s youngest Tundra is the Arctic Tundra. The word “Tundra” originates from the Finnish word “Tunturia”, which means barren land.
