  • line 838 -840 it says old ship mates our stores are in the ships hold and then odysseus tells them they can not eat the cattle other wise they'll pay dearly.
  • 865-867 Eurylochus told odysseus's men that famine is the most pitiful, the worst end that a man can come to.
  • line 890-893 it says the men had no wine they had to get clear spring water and then they craved the meat, and then odysseus wakes up from his slumber

  • Odysseus and his men sailed to off to an island and hoped to find new food and drink which they were in need of.
  • line 909 Helios tells Zeus how Odysseus men killed his kine and that he would drag the sun down to the underworld
  • Zeus tells Helios to let him throw down one white lightning bolt. line 918-919
  • Eurylochus told Odysseus's men that it is not a noble death to die of starvation and they should die rather by a god striking down on them then starving.

  • Odysseus then returns home with the help of Zeus by himself because the rest of his men drowned by jumping off the ships when Zeus stroke down a bolt and wrecked the ships.
