Storyboard Text

  • I sat down in the cliental chair placed over against Mr. Jagger's chair and became fascinated by the dismal atmosphere of the place.
  • Casting my eyes on Mr. Wemmick as we went along , to see what he was like in the light of day, I found him to be a dry man, rather short in stature, with a square wooden face, whose expression seemed to have been imperfectly chipped out with a dull-edged chisel.
  • Mr. Pocket took me into the house and showed me my room; which was a pleasant one, and so furnished as that I could use it with comfort for my own private sitting room.
  • Before putting his late friend on his shelf again, Wemmick touched the largest of his mourning rings, and said, "Sent out to buy it for me, only the day before."
  • It was but natural that I should take to him(Startop) much more kindly than to Drummle, and that, even in the earliest evenings of our boating, he and I should pull homeward abreast of one another, conversing from boat to boat, while Bentley Drummle came up in our wake alone, under the overhanging banks among the trees.
  • Joe, being invited to sit down to table, looked all round the room for a suitable spot on which to deposit his hat and ultimately stood it on an extreme corner of the chimney-piece, from which it ever afterwards fell off at intervals.
