  • Igneous rocks come from the cooling of mented rock material, called magma.
  • IGNEOUS ROCK
  • Extrusive igneous rocks form when magma cools quickly on the Earths surface, leaving no crystals.

  • Intrusive igneous rocks form when magma cools slowly under the Earths surface, leaving large crystals.
  • When buried rock is changed under high pressure and temperature, they form into Metamorphic rock.
