Odysseus introduces his shipmates and himself to the Cyclopes with hope to be helped. The Cyclops shows no pity or fear towards Odysseus and his threats of the Gods. With that he took two of Odysseus' men and graphically devoured them in front of the rest.

Odysseus give the Cyclops wine with a plan to make him less of a danger due to his inability to think straight. He then continues by making a spear and heating it over fire. Finally when the time is right he enters it into the Cyclopes' eye.

Odysseus and his crew begin the escape by tying themselves below the rams' stomach. When they escaped and made it to sea they rowed with speed for the Cyclopes were persuing them. After all was done, Odysseus made it back home to Ithaca alive but grieving his past friends
