Storyboard Text

  • The Exposition started off with Montresor talking about the hate he has for Fortunado and how he swears he will get revenge. We also learn that Montresor is skilled in Italian vintages and that he buys them whenever he can. We also learned that Fortunato is prideful about his connoisseurship.
  • Exposition
  • "..., but when he Ventured upon insult. I vowed revenge."
  • Rising action
  • The 1st rising action started when Montresor started talking with a drunk Fortunado about how he wants to let him try some Amontillado wine, he lured him into insisting to go to the vaults by talking about Luchesi who Fortunado dislikes.
  • “Let us go, nevertheless. The cold is merely nothing. Amontillado!"
  • Rising action
  • “herein is the Amontillado. As for Luchesi—"
  • The 2nd Rising action starts when Montresor and Fortunado are walking to the "wine vaults" and are getting very close. At this point, Fortunado's drunkness starts wearing off.
  • Climax
  • The Climax happens when Montresor chains up fortunado onto the catacomb wall.
  • “Ha! ha! ha!—he! he! he!—a very good joke indeed—an excellent jest. We shall have many a rich laugh about it at the palazzo—he! he! he!—over our wine—he! he! he!”
  • The falling action of the plot would be when Montresor Finsishes building the wall of bricks and when he ignores and acts smart toward the pleads of Fortunado.
  • Falling action
  • “For the love of God, Montresor!”
  • Resolution
  • "Fortunato—"
  • The Climax happened when he threw his Torch into the catacombs and he only heard bells ringing. It also officially ended when he said, "In pace requiescat!"
