  • THERE WERE 13 colonies . A colony is when a piece of land or area is being govern by another country. These colonies where located in Delaware ,  Pennsylvania , New Jersey , Georgia , Connecticut  , Massachusetts  Maryland , south and North Carolina  , New Hampshire , and  Virginia , and more like Rhode Island , and New York .
  • There are two main events that happen this were the Boston Tea Party and The Boston Massacre. The Boston Tea Party Happen when they took out the Stamp Paper Act and still left Tea taxes and the sons of liberty sail in a boat ship  and threw tea off sail. The Boston Massacre happen when a colonist was passing by and then a soldier made fun of a colonist and then people standed up for the colonist and so a huge crowd joined and there was open fire and there was 10 some injured some killed.
  • The British Government needed money to pay for things and thought it was okay to tax colonies for money . The colonist didn't agree to this but there was nothing they could do but pay.
  • "No Taxation without representation" This meant whoever voted was bound to pay taxes .
  • There was War between the British and the Colonist because they had tax and it was unfair but mostly because they didn't have a parliament and rights to protest.
