Once I learned that we needed a topic, I didn’t know what to do. So I searched online. I came across police brutality and drug abuse. With the help from Mr. Rader, I decided to do drug abuse.
At first, it was hard looking for references. After I found some that can provide me information for my background paper, I started to write it. I wrote my background paper three times so it would not have any mistakes.
I had a hard time trying to think of a knowledge gap. After looking at some examples, provided by Mr.Rader, and me constantly thinking up different kind of knowledge gap, I found one that would work.
I had a red light on my first draft expert letter. So I went to tutoring to talk to Mr. Rader about my expert letter. After we were done talking I went home and did my final draft of the expert letter to get a green light.
I had trouble with coming up with a field research question. I had some examples provided by Mr. Rader, but it really did not help that much. I had to come up with many questions until I got a green light on one.
From the start I knew I was going to do a survey for this project. I had trouble of thinking of questions that would go on my survey. After making many questions and picking which would go on my survey, I finally had 10 questions and a green light.
