I'm not a mad man I promise. My disease sharpens all my senses, allowing me to hear the littlest of things. This will definitely help me in the future.
The eye of evil, the eye of a vulture, pale blue. When this eye meets mine my blood runs cold. I'm describing the old man I live with. Now don't get me wrong I love the old man, he has never done me wrong but that eye, it terrifies me.
Everynight I had the same plan over and over again. I turn the latch of the door, peeped my head in, turned on a dark lantern. I moved very slowly, so slow that it took me an hour to get my whole head in the door. I did this same routine for 7 nights straight, failing each night to see the eye opened, making it impossible to do the deed.
Tonight was the night I completed my job. I was way more cautious than I have ever been. I got my head, I was just about to open my lantern when my thumb slipped. Suddenly I hear the old man.
Never thought this was gonna happen. I am gonna have to wait around for an hour or so til he doesn't expect my attack.
What was that noise, is there an intruder in my house. I didn't know what to do, so I did the only thing that came to my mind, "Who's there?".
It's time, I jumped into the room with the lantern in my hand and all at once I heard a loud shriek. My job was completed so far, I knew this while I was smiling at the dead body. But for some reason the heart kept beating.
