Storyboard Text

  • Thirteen years ago, there was an airplane that appeared out of thin air and landed at Sky Trails Air. There was no record of the plane or any of the crew or pilot. The plane was completely empty and silent, except for the 36 seats, every single one of them was full… each contained a baby. When all of the babies were evacuated from the plane, it vanished out of thin air, and there were only a couple of witnesses.
  • Exposition
  • Jonah Skidmore is a 13-year old boy who feels like an ordinary kid. He lives with his mom, dad, and his annoying, but smart, sister Katherine who is a year younger. Jonah’s best friend Chip moved onto his street a couple months ago, but they hang out a lot.  Thirteen years later, the 36 babies are teens and they have grown up in the new American society and now they have to encounter their past.
  • Exposition (cont.)
  • Jonah is very unconvinced and doubtful at the beginning of the book. Anything he sees and observes is just thought of as a joke or prank, it basically doesn’t matter to him.
  • Exposition (cont.)
  • Conflict
  • But how?! Really?!
  • Guys! Everything from my computer has been deleted. It's all gone!
  • (gasp)
  • Conflict (cont.)
  • Run, Jonah! Run!
  • Guys, go!
  • Conflict (cont.)
  • (whispers to Chip and Katherine) Guys, we are trapped in!
  • The conflict in this book is through the challenges presented when Jonah and Chip search for their true identities. They attempt to uncover the mysteries about their adoptions and the other 34 babies that were on the plane.
  • There are many threatening forces at work against them from a futuristic time travel organization to other time travelers also from the future.
  • Throughout the conflicts that Jonah faces, he changes along the way. Jonah and Chip are trying to figure out many things about their lives and the other missing children.
